Our Purpose
Founded with a Clear Purpose
Trinity Theological College was founded with a clear purpose — to provide a Christ-centred environment where students can grow spiritually, academically, ministerially, and personally with each passing day.
Through a unique teaching approach, practical ministry exposure, and a committed faculty, the college seeks to prepare men and women for effective Christian leadership and service.
The Context
Answering a Call in Eastern India
In 2005, God placed upon our hearts the burden to begin a Bible School for the young people of this region. The states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and the surrounding eastern regions of India have often remained underserved due to socio-economic backwardness, political instability, illiteracy, and poverty.
The Lord impressed upon us the need to train workers who would go forth and transform these regions into a vineyard for His Kingdom.
Our Beginning
From Four Students to a Hundred Graduates
The Bible School officially commenced on 11th July 2005 with four male students. Though only one student completed the full duration and graduated in the first batch, the Lord has remained faithful.
Through meaningful partnerships, faithful supporters, churches, and mission-minded individuals, the ministry has steadily grown over the years. Today, more than 100 students have graduated from Trinity Theological College and are serving in various mission fields, churches, ministries, and Christian organizations across the region and beyond.
Over the years, it has been a joy to witness young men and women dedicating their lives for the extension of God's Kingdom as pastors, evangelists, missionaries, worship leaders, teachers, and Christian workers. Several graduates have also pursued higher theological education and are now involved in training and equipping future generations for ministry.
A Historic Milestone
First ATA-Affiliated Institution in Jharkhand
We are grateful to share that Trinity Theological College was earlier partnered with the Global School of Open Learning (formerly Southern Asia Bible College – D.L. Department, Bangalore), India, to offer ATA-recognized courses at Bokaro.
In April 2021, the college was granted affiliation with the Asia Theological Association, becoming the first ATA-affiliated theological institution in the state of Jharkhand — a landmark achievement for theological education in eastern India.
Looking Ahead
The Road Forward
At present, the college is actively working towards the renewal and strengthening of its ATA accreditation while also prayerfully exploring the launch of an Integrated Master of Divinity (M.Div.) Program in the coming years.
Should this vision come to fruition, Trinity Theological College would become one of the very few ATA-accredited institutions in the eastern region of India — particularly serving Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh — to offer such an integrated theological program. We believe this step would greatly strengthen theological education and ministry preparation for students from these underserved regions.
